AKC/Intl. CH Omegan’s Fire The Cannons RN HCT DSA (Pirate)
Pirate is the puppy we picked out of Faith’s first litter. We wanted a dog that was well built, and would excel in the conformation ring, as well as in the performance ring. We couldn’t be happier with our decision.
Pirate is a wonderful training partner. He is an easy going dog who enjoys repetition, and he is very precise. He has a natural awareness of his back end that is not seen in many dogs. He has a ton of drive, and could work all day if you asked him to. Pirate is also doing very well in herding. He is a very strong dog with a lot of eye and power, so we are learning to work together. He will most likely start trialling in April 2008.
He is also just what I was looking for in my next conformation dog. He has a beautiful head, and his split faced markings make him very striking. He has wonderful movement, especially his side gate. His front is just what I was looking for in this litter. I have very high hopes for this boy.
While Pirate was a timid puppy, he totally came out of his shell, and is now a bold, boisterous boy. He commands attention wherever he goes, whether it be at the dog park because of his amazing speed, or at a show because of his striking color.
Pirate is also a Dog Scout, and has earned badges in Backpacking, Hiking, Frisbee, and Puppy Paddlers.
Pirate is OFA Good, CERF clear, CEA Normal by Parentage, CL Normal by Parentage, and we will find out about TNS as soon as we get Faith tested (his sire is tested Normal). Pirate sired his first litter in 2007, and the pups are turning out nicely. His daughter Fallon (CH Clannad’s Dynasty Daughter) finished her Championship in 2008 out of the Bred-By classes, and his son (CH Clannad’s Going To Tri Haggis) finished in 2009 and won a Group 4 the next day! He will be available at stud on a limited basis to approved bitches.
